DIY: Teapot

Teapot

This was a fun and easy craft project. It’s perfectly imperfect and I’m okay with that!!!!

For this project, I recycled a pizza sauce jar.  I used paper towels, brown paper, coffee pods box, paper tape, mod podge, paint, Elmer’s glue and a variety of colors of air dry clay.

Here are pictures of the steps to making this:

I then let it dry. From this point, I painted it. I painted it 3 or 4 colors before I finally decided on the color I wanted.

After the paint dried, I added my clay with Elmer’s glue and a paint brush.

This was a fun project for me. By no means am I a pro at this but it was a fun project to make. Plus, I enjoy going outside my comfort zone and learning new skills, crafts and techniques.

Happy Crafting…

Springtime

 Hi all!!!!

I know I haven’t posted any new patterns in the past few weeks. I’ve been working on Etsy orders. It seems my 100% cotton dryer balls are the right size and people seem to love using them. I’m so thankful and grateful for that, especially since my husband sustained a brain injury umpiring a baseball game after working all day and has since been unable to work or umpire for the past year.

I have so many patterns that need to be typed up and added to the blog. I just don’t seem to have enough hours (or energy) in the day to get everything done anymore. Prayers are greatly needed and appreciated. To date, my husband is no longer able to pastor our church. This has been a rough transitional time for us.

If I have made something and you are wanting the specific pattern, please feel free to comment or email me directly at rilla2u@gmail.com and I will get it to you as quickly as I can.

Life is about constant changes; ups and downs; heading one way and then turning in another direction. I’m still crocheting and crafting. Not as much as I would like, but my plate has been kinda full lately.

Thank you all so much for your continued support on my Etsy page and just visiting my blog and bringing my patterns to life.

Again, thank you all so much. God bless!!!!
