Golf Clubs Patterns!!!

Here's my newest design - Buffalo Plaid Golf Club Covers!!!  This will make the absolute perfect gift for Father's Day, Birthdays, or Christmastime for the man/men in your life.  How gorgeous is this set?  Seriously!!!

There's one design for the Driver and then two designs for the Irons.  Each are topped with a cute yarn pom.

Golf Club Covers Trio Set Pattern...

Irons:

Driver:

Materials:
--5.0mm hook
--1 skein each of #4 worsted weight yarn in Burgundy, Red and Black (I used "I Love This Yarn" from Hobby Lobby)
--tapestry needle for weaving ends

U.S. Stitch Abbreviations:
Ch:  chain
St:  stitch(es)
Sl st:  slip stitch
SC:  single crochet
SC2tog:  single crochet 2 stitches together (creates a decrease)
DC:  double crochet
FPDC:  front post double crochet
BPDC:  back post double crochet
FO:  fasten off

Special Note:
1.  Ch3 counts as first stitch of each round.
2.  Each pattern is worked from the bottom, up.

Directions:
IRONS: 
Plaid Cover:
1.  With Black yarn, Ch30 and sl st to the 1st Ch.  Ch3.  DC in each ch around.  Sl st join to the top of the ch.  (30)
2.  Ch3 (counts as first FPDC st).  *BPDC around next post st.  FPDC around next post.* rep from * to * around.  Sl st join to the top of the ch.  (30)
3-10.  Rep #2.
11.  Ch1.  *2 SC in first st, 1 SC in next, 2 SC in each of the next 3 st, 1 SC in next, 2 SC in each of the next 4 st,* rep from * to * 2 more times.  Sl st join to first st.  (54)

Plaid Pattern:
12.  Join Burgundy yarn with a sl st and Ch3 (this is the 1st DC), DC in the next st.  DC in the next st, however before completing the stitch, switch to Black yarn and complete stitch.  Now, DC in the next 2 st with Black yarn.  DC in the next st, however before completing the stitch, switch to Burgundy yarn and complete stitch.  Continue this pattern around. At the end of the round, drop the Black yarn and join the Red yarn with a sl st.

13.  With Red yarn, Ch3 (this is the 1st DC), DC in the next st.  DC in the next st, however before completing the stitch, switch to Burgundy yarn and complete stitch.  Now, DC in the next 2 st with Burgundy yarn.  DC in the next st, however before completing the stitch, switch to Red yarn and complete the stitch.  Continue this pattern around.

Note:  make sure you are rotating the Red and Black yarns in and out per row so that Red is on top of Burgundy and Burgundy is on top of Black.

14-20.  Continue to rep rounds #12 and #13, ending with #12 round.  At the end of Round 20, you can fasten off Red and Burgundy yarn and weave ends.

21.  With Black yarn, SC in each st around.  Sl st join to first st and Ch1.  (54)

22.  *SC2tog, 1 SC in next  st, SC2tog, SC2tog, SC2tog, 1 SC in next st, SC2tog, SC2tog, SC2tog, SC2tog,* rep from * to * 2 more times around.  Sl st join to first st and Ch1.  (36)

23.  SC2tog around.  Sl st join to first st and FO.  Leave a long tail.  (18)

24.  With the tail and tapestry needle, weave in and out of the last round and then pull to close center.  Tighten and secure yarn.  Weave ends.

Yarn Pom:

1.  With Black yarn, I wrapped around 4 of my fingers 40 times.  I tied a secure knot in the center, trimmed the ends and attached to the center top.

Striped Cover:

1.  With Black yarn, Ch30 and sl st to the 1st Ch.  Ch3.  DC in each ch around.  Sl st join to the top of the ch.  (30)
2.  Ch3 (counts as first FPDC st).  *BPDC around next post st.  FPDC around next post.* rep from * to * around.  Sl st join to the top of the ch.  (30)
3-10.  Rep #2.
11.  Ch1.  *2 SC in first st, 1 SC in next, 2 SC in each of the next 3 st, 1 SC in next, 2 SC in each of the next 4 st,* rep from * to * 2 more times.  Sl st join to first st.  (54)
12.  Ch3 (counts as 1st DC).  DC in each st around.  Sl st join to the top of the Ch3.  Drop Black yarn to the back and join Red yarn with a sl st.  (54)
13.  With Red yarn, Ch3 (counts as 1st DC).  DC in each st around.  Sl st join to the top of the Ch3.  (54)
14.  Drop Red yarn and pick up Black yarn.  Ch3 (counts as 1st DC).  DC in each st around.  Sl st join to top of Ch3.  (54)
15.  With Black yarn, Ch3 and DC in each st around.  Sl st join to top of Ch3.  (54)
16.  Drop Black yarn and pick up Red yarn.  Ch3.  DC in each st around.  Sl st join to top of Ch3.  (54)

35.  SC2tog around.  Sl st join to first st.  FO and leave a long tail.  (18)

New Year, New Designs

 So far, 2022, has been inspiring for me in hat design!!! I’ve made some really chic and stylish patterns that even a beginner can tackle and complete with a little patience. 

I soon hope to get my blog caught up on patterns added but for the past year I’ve been so focused on designing that I haven’t allotted myself much time to actually type up the patterns. When creativity is knocking, I tend to get lost in the design aspect.

The Dreamer Hat

“The Dreamer” Hat       

Here's one of my newest hat designs that I absolutely love.  The finished hat is just fabulous.  I've made this with different brands of worsted weight yarn and I have loved all of them.  The pom is optional.  You can add a faux or crocheted pom.

Size:  Teen - Average Adult-Sized Head

(you can easily adjust to smaller or bigger size)

 

Materials:

--5.0mm hook

--#4 worsted weight yarn in desired color and brand

--optional pom

--tapestry needle

Winter Season - Hats & Headbands

With winter weather upon us, I’ve been busy designing quite a few new hats and headbands.  The patterns each work up easy with a beautiful texture created. 

I hope to get the patterns added soon. But, to be honest, I’ve had a lot going on in recent months with the death of my sister-in-law and some serious medical issues.
