Today, I was in a "spring/summer" mindset and decided to make a few brightly-colored washcloths/dishcloths that measure approximately 9" x 9".
Size: approximately 9" x 9"
Gauge: I did not gauge this project
Materials:
--5.0mm hook
--Cotton Yarn in varying colors (I used Peaches & Creme)
--tapestry needle for weaving
U.S. Stitch Abbreviations:
Ch: chain
Sl st: slip stitch
St: stitch(es)
SC: Single Crochet
HDC: half double crochet
DC: double crochet
Rep: repeat
Sk: skip
FO: fasten off
Directions:
1. Ch33. SC, HDC and DC into the 3rd ch from the hook. Sk 2 st. *SC, HDC and DC in next st. Sk 2 st.* Rep from * to * across. SC in the last ch. Ch1 and turn. (31)
2. *SC, HDC and DC into the first st. Sk 2 st.* Rep from * to * across. SC in the last st. Ch1 and turn. (31)
3-22. Rep #2. At the end of Row 22, Ch1. (31)
Border:
23. SC evenly around washcloth, placing 3 SC st in each corner. Sl st join to first st and FO. Weave ends.
This creates a beautifully, textured washcloth/dishcloth.

Thank for this!! These were indeed super easy to work up. I did 3 of them in a few hours (and I am a very slow knitter/crocheter). I will be making a whole bunch of these since I seem to be in a washcloth kick lately!
