I'm continuing to work on more Washcloths/Dishcloths on this Saturday afternoon. For these, I'm using the C2C (corner-2-corner) method of crocheting with HDC stitches and Ch5/Ch2.
This pattern works up really, really quick. Less than an hour to make one.

Gauge: I did not gauge pattern.
Materials:
--5.0mm hook
--#4 worsted weight Cotton yarn (I used Peaches & Creme)
--tapestry needle for weaving ends
U.S. Stitch Abbreviations:
Ch: chain
Sl st: slip stitch
St: stitch(es)
SC: single crochet
HDC: half double crochet
FPHDC: front post half double crochet
BPHDC: back post half double crochet

Directions:
1. Using the C2C method of crocheting, you will start in the lower right corner and work across, diagonally. Start with a Ch5 and use HDC stitches with Ch2.
2. You will complete 10 increase rows. Here's a picture of the 10 increase rows:
Now, you will begin your 9 decrease rows.
Border:
1. Once you complete your decrease rows, Ch1. SC in each st around, placing 2 SC st in the ch space and 3 SC st in each corner. Sl st join to first st and Ch1.
2-3. FPHDC, BPHDC. Rep around. Sl st join to first st and Ch1. At the end of Round 3, FO and weave ends.
And, that's it!!! Quick, cute and functional...
