Quick & Easy Chunky Hat...

This hat pattern works up very fast using Bernat Softee Chunky Yarn and a 10mm hook.  It makes a great last minute gift.  This hat pattern is suitable for a man or a woman.  I only made the hat in adult-sized but you can easily stop increase rows to make for a preteen/teen size.

Special Note:
1.  If you work in the round, then use a stitch marker to keep track of the beginning/ending of rounds and move the stitch marker up as you start each new round;
2.  If joining each round, then slip stitch to first stitch and Ch1 at the end of each round.
3.  If you want to make for a child, preteen/teen, then after completing step #3, start measure the diameter and multiply it by 3.14 to determine the circumference; once you have the diameter you need, then stop increasing rounds and move on to just completing rounds with 1 HDC per stitch.
4.  Measure length to as you go to get the right length you desire for a smaller-sized version.
