Materials:

-4.0mm hook

-#4 worsted weight yarn in yellow and green

-1 black plastic eye (6mm)

-black and pink yarn for facial features

-Polyfil

-tapestry needle

U.S. Stitch Abbreviations:

Ch: chain

MR: magic ring

St:  stitch(es)

Sl st:  slip stitch 

SC:  single crochet

SC2tog: single crochet 2 stitches together (decrease)

HDC:  half double crochet 

Rep:  repeat

FO:  fasten off

Note:  pattern is worked in the round; use a stitch marker to keep track of each new round and move the marker up on each new round

Directions:

1.  6 SC MR.  (6)

2.  1 SC each st around. (6)

3.  2 SC in each st around. (12)

4.  1 SC. 2 SC next st.  Rep around. (18)

5.  1 SC in next 2 st.  2 SC next st.  Rep around. (24)

6.  1 SC in next 3 st.  2 SC next st.  Rep around. (30)

7-13.  1 SC in each st around. (30)

14.  1 SC in next 3 st.  SC2tog.  Rep around. (24)

15.  1 SC in next 2 st.  SC2tog.  Rep around. (18)

16.  1 SC in next st.  SC2tog.  Rep around. (12)

Firmly stuff

17.  SC2tog 6 times. (6)

18.  1 SC in each st around.  FO.  Weave ends.  (6)

Leaf:

1.  With green yarn, Ch7.  Sl st, SC, HDC, HDC, HDC and 3HDC in last ch.  Rotate and work on the opposite side of the base ch.  HDC, HDC, HDC, SC and Sl st.  Sl st to the first st.  Leave a long enough tail for attaching.  

Using black and pink yarn add the facial features (see pics).
