Bubble Hat
Here’s a new hat design I made for a customer who wanted a pink and black hat!!!!
I absolutely love how this hat turned out using Crafter’s Secret yarn from Hobby Lobby.
The pattern is beginner friendly, with the exception of knowing how to work around the post stitches for the border. As an alternative, the last 3 rounds for the border can be worked in DC stitches.
Size:
Teen to Average Adult. The pattern can easily be adjusted by decreasing or increasing the number of “increase rounds”
Materials:
-5.0mm hook
-Crafter’s Secret yarn in Hot Rose (pink) & Black
-Tapestry needle
-Faux fur pom (optional)
U.S. Stitch Abbreviations:
Ch: chain
St: stitch(es)
Sl st: slip stitch
SC: single crochet
DC: double crochet
BLO: back loops only
FPDC: front post double crochet
BPDC: back post double crochet
MR: magic ring
Rep: repeat
Y/O: Yarn over
FO: fasten off
Notes:
1. Pattern is worked in the round, unless noted. So, please use a stitch marker to keep track of beginning and end round.
2. Prior to changing colors, slip stitch join the last stitch and fasten off yarn. Weave ends.
3. Increase Rounds: this is the number of rounds you will complete to achieve the desired diameter. (Diameter times 3.14 will equal head circumference)
Happy Crocheting...
