Size: 22” - 23” head circumference
Skill Level: Intermediate
Materials:
-4.0mm hook
-#4 worsted weight yarn in blue, red and white
-tapestry needle for weaving ends
Special Note: I used FPDC and BPDC for the border. If you aren’t familiar or comfortable with this stitch technique yet, then you can opt to do DC rounds instead.
Hat Pattern:
I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn in 3 colors (blue, red, white) and a 4mm hook.
I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn in 3 colors (blue, red, white) and a 4mm hook.
The hat was made following the simple design of increase rounds until the diameter is achieved and then completing rounds until the length is achieved.
I made this using HDC stitch. I started with 8 HDC in a MR. I kept making increase rounds until I got my diameter and then I worked continuous rounds until the length was approximately 8” - 8 1/2” long.
The last four rounds were done the following way:
-3 rounds of FPDC & BPDC
-final round of SC stitches

Logo:
This logo is not my design. I found it on Pinterest. There are tons of graph patterns available on there. This one, however, was designed by Colleen Cooke. I started with her design but made a few changes while I was making the logo.
The logo was achieved with a 3.0mm hook and SC stitches and increase and decrease stitches at the beginning/ending rounds to create the Buffalo shape I wanted.
I then made the red portion and attached it with whipstitches.
Last, I SC around the logo in white yarn.
To complete , I used a tapestry needle to attach to the center front of the hat.
Happy Crocheting...
