Another hobby that fascinates me is cake decorating. You just can't go wrong when it's crafty -- and edible!!!!
Below are a few pics of cakes I've made over the past few years...I'm self-taught and far, far, far from perfect, but I try...and, to me, that's what counts.
My blog is about crocheting & crafting. You can find PDF files, completed projects and bath & body products in my Etsy Shop at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Rilla2u Occasionally, I may share my passion for cooking, gardening & canning! I hope you will stop by often to check out free patterns. Subscribe, comment and follow me on my journey...

Star Wars Themed Baby Shower
In 2015, my daughter-in-law, Laurel, was also pregnant...and she is a huge Star Wars fan. I have never watched or followed anything Star Wars related...lol. So, I had to be a quick learn to help Laurel have a fun and fabulous baby shower.
First, Laurel wanted a costume...so I had to get my sewing machine out and go to work in making her a tunic and all the pieces to go with her costume.
I had to make my grandson, Luke Sampson, a Star Wars themed crochet blanket...
...and a super cute wreath that will hang in his nursery...
And, of course, there had to be fun moments...
....and decorations...
I have a lot more pics but the above pics were the ones I had readily available. Even with a VERY limited knowledge of Star Wars I was still able to make table decor, balloon creations, a diaper cake and an all-around, well-themed party decor items. So, I hope this post will encourage you not to limit your thinking or abilities. With a little gumption, you can create a fun-themed baby shower for the special lady in your life....Laurel thoroughly enjoyed herself...and making mommy-to-be happy is what it's all about. Blessings....

...or a little Yoda (aka. Gabriel)...lol
The wreath for the front door was super cute...
