Fox Drawstring Bag...

How cute is this Fox Drawstring Bag?  This bag is great for kids, and adults, too.  It measures 13" x 15 1/2" so it's a good size for everyday use.  I used Bernat Softee Chunky yarn so it worked up quickly.

Here's the link to my Fox Pencil Case that would go great with this bag:

I hope you all will enjoy making this cute Fox as much as I did in designing it....

Nose Tip:
1.  With Black yarn, 3 SC into MR.  FO, leaving a long enough tail for attaching at the tip of the nose.

See pics for eyes and nose place.  (I attached the nose tip to the nose and then I placed the tip of the nose at stitch 13 of Row 1 of the Front piece.)

Assembly:
For the Front and the Back piece, I turned down the last 2 rows (Row 26 & 27) and whipstitched across to make the pockets at the top for the drawstring.  I then placed right sides together and starting at Row 25, I whipstitched down the side, across the bottom and up the other side to Row 25.

Side Rings for Drawstring (make 2):
1.  With Black yarn, I ch9 and sl st to first ch to make circular and FO.  Leave a long enough tail to attach to each side.  I placed mine, on each side, at Row 5.

Drawstrings (make 2):
1.  Ch 111.  SC in 2nd ch from hook and across.  FO and leave a long enough tail to whipstitch the ends together after you work the Drawstring through the rings and across the top pockets.
Note:  check to make sure the drawstring is long enough for you or your child by folding it in half, and placing it from shoulder to hip.  Adjust the starting chain accordingly.

To work the drawstring:
1.  Place a safety pin on one end.  Go up through your left side ring, then, work through and across the Front piece pocket.  When you finish and come out on the right side of the Front piece, then work it back across and through the Back piece pocket.  Once you finish and come out of the Back piece pocket, you will then whipstitch the ends together.
2.  Now, remember step 1 for the other drawstring on the right side.  This time you will work through the Back piece first, go to the end and work back across through the Front piece.  Then whipstitch the ends together for the second drawstring as you did for the first.

And, that's it....  I hope you all will have fun making this.  And, please share your pics if you do. I'd love to see them.
Happy Crocheting...
